CARE AND MAINTENANCE
OF THE RETRACTOR
Cleaning:
1. Immediately
following surgery, disassemble and soak the retractor for 20 minutes
in a neutral pH solution.
2. Carefully
scrub the retractor using a soft brush to remove all visible soil,
paying special attention to the ratchet bar.
3. Use
only a neutral pH (6-8) solution. Use of acidic or alkaline detergents
will remove chromium oxide from surface of stainless steel causing
pitting or breakage of the retractor. The XYZ guarantee may be voided
if instruments are continually exposed to high acid (pH4 or lower)
or high alkaline (pH10 or higher) solutions, detergents, disinfectants,
stain removers, etc.
4. The
retractor should be thoroughly rinsed with distilled water after
cleaning to remove any residual debris or cleaning agent.
5. After
thoroughly flushing the retractor, sonicate in a neutral pH solution
for 20 minutes. Remove the retractor from sonicator and rinse with
distilled water to remove any residue of solution.
6. Lubricate and protect your retractor. It is important that the
retractor be thoroughly lubricated after every cleaning and before
autoclaving with a steam permeable instrument lubricant.
7. A
proper lubricant will leave a thin film, which lubricates moving
parts and acts as a deterrent to corrosion and staining.
8. Let
the instrument drip dry for a few moments before wrapping for sterilization
processing.
9. Proceed
to recommended Steam Sterilization process.
STERILIZATION
OF THE RETRACTOR
Sterilization of instruments may be accomplished by steam (autoclave).
Time and temperature parameters required for steam sterilization
vary according to type of sterilizer, cycle design, and packaging
material. The following are XYZ guidelines for product sterilization.
Do not sterilize
instruments at temperatures over 141ºC (285ºF).
Per AAMI TIR-12-1994 Designing, Testing and Labeling Reusable
Medical Devices for Reprocessing in Health Care Facilities, the
following set of parameters have been chosen for achieving effective
steam sterilization.
Wrapped Instruments:
Pre-vacuum Sterilization Parameters, Temperature 132ºC
(270ºF), Exposure Time 3 minutes
STORAGE OF THE RETRACTOR
Prior to storage, assure that the instrument is thoroughly dry.
When not in use, store the instrument in a clean, dry cabinet
or storage case.
REPAIR SERVICE FOR THE RETRACTOR
Regardless of age, if any XYZ instrument needs service, return
it to your authorized XYZ dealer or to the address below. All
instruments must be cleaned and sterilized prior to their return.
If the repair is covered under guarantee, it will be repaired
or replaced at no charge when requested in writing. A nominal
service charge will be made for repaired instruments outside the
guarantee. Note: Guarantee is void if instruments are repaired
by any other repair service, subjected to abuse, or improperly
reprocessed.
DISPOSAL
This device should be handled and disposed of in accordance with
all applicable regulations including, without limitation, those
pertaining to human health and safety and the environment.

การทำความสะอาด:

5. หลังจากล้างรีแทรกเตอร์แล้ว ให้อบเครื่องมือโดยแช่ใว้ในสารละลายที่เป็นกลางเป็นเวลา
20 นาที เอารีแทรกเตอร์ออกจากเครืองอบ (sonicator) เพื่อเอาสารละลายที่เหลือค้างออกไป

9.แนะนำให้ทำตามกระบวนการทำให้ปราศจากเชื้อด้วยไอน้ำ (Steam Sterilization
process)

การบริการซ่อมบำรุงเครื่องรีแทรกเตอร์(REPAIR SERVICE FOR THE RETRACTOR)
โดยไม่คำนึงถึงอายุการใช้งาน หากเครื่องมือของXYZต้องการการบำรุงรักษา
กรุณาส่งเครื่องมือกลับมาที่ตัวแทนจำหน่ายของ XYZ หรือที่อยู่ข้างใต้นี้
เครื่องมือทุกชิ้นจะต้องได้รับการทำปราศจากเชื้อและทำความสะอาดก่อนส่ง
ถ้าการบำรุงรักษาอยู่ภายใต้ประกันจะได้รับการซ่อมบำรุงหรือเปลี่ยนโดยไม่คิดค่าใช้จ่าย
หากอยู่นอกประกันจะต้องจ่ายค่าบริการ หมายเหตุ การประกันไม่รวมถึงการซ่อมบำรุงโดยให้บุคคลอื่นซ่อม,
การใช้ผิดวิธี, หรือการนำมาใช้ใหม่อย่างไม่เหมาะสม
การกำจัด
การกำจัดอุปกรณ์ควรจัดเก็บและกำจัดอย่างถูกต้องตามหลักเกณฑ์ เพื่อไม่ให้เป็นอันตรายต่อมนุษย์และสิ่งแวดล้อม
